A US man has met his tragic end after he accidentally shot himself in the face while attempting to take a selfie with a loaded gun as a selfie stick, the Skagit Valley Herald reports.
The newspaper reported that the 43-year-old Washington man, who police did not name, died as a result of his injuries.
The man's girlfriend, who was with him at the time, told authorities the pair had taken several selfies with the gun throughout the day, with the man unloading and reloading the gun several times. However, on the final occasion, a bullet was still in the gun when he went to take a picture.
It's not the first time a person has died while taking a selfie. In fact, selfie-related deaths are now more common than shark attacks.
