Another African Country where one family has been in power for over five decades is Equatorial Guinea, a country located in Central part of Africa.

Teodoro Obiang has been the president of Equatorial Guinea since 1979 and his son, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue has been his vice president since 2016.

Obiang’s uncle was also the president of the country from 1968 to 1979.
After two failed coup attempts in 2004 and 2017, Equatorial Guinea began building a new capital.
Equatorial Guinea has been ruled by the Obiang family for over 50 years. His son, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue was once arrested on suspicion of selling an aircraft belonging to the country's national airline.
