Nigeria Football Federation [NFF] has identified former Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp as the next coach of the country’s national team.
The Super Eagles parted ways with 2013 Cup of Nations-winning coach Stephen Keshi in 2015, Sunday Oliseh then came in to succeed him but was fired in February this year after eight months in charge following his failure to qualify the African giants for AFCON Championship.
Redknapp, 69, left his role as QPR boss at the beginning of February 2015, and he has since spent time as the manager of Jordan and was recently appointed as football adviser at Championship club Derby County.
However, it hasn’t been clear where ‘Udini’ goes next.
But latest unbelievable report by the Daily Star suggests that Redknapp is set to be appointed as Nigeria coach within the next few days following discussions with the NFF.
