Wizkid VS Linda Ikeji: Linda Drags Wizkid To The Authority For Possible Case of Assault and Threat to Life

In the midst of the social media squabbles, Wizkid threatened to beat up Linda Ikeji. The drama started the day before when Linda Ikeji posted a story about Wizkid being served with quit notice at his Lekki Phase 1 residence

Wizkid, who wasn’t cool with the whole story grabbed his phone the next day and blasted Linda Ikeji in the comment section of her latest picture. The singer went hard on her and even said unsavoury things about her body parts. Just yesterday, it was gathered that the blogger had reported the case to the police who responded by inviting Wizkid over to the station for his own statement though the artiste didn’t honour the invitation.

LEGAL IMPLICATION:

It is thoroughly out of place to assume that Wizkid faces possible jail term of 7 years when the Linda Ikeji has not filed a court case for assault and threat to life.

Justice in Nigeria goes through some constitutional process; the first step is the reporting of the case to the appropriate authority which Linda Ikeji was reported to have done yesterday.

The essence of inviting Wizkid to the station by the police is to get his statement and discretely make move to settle the case amicably out of court, else Linda Ikeji can go ahead to file a court case against the pop star.

As against the news that the pop star faces a possible jail term, the court of law will not hand 7 years jail term to Wizkid, rather he will be issued a restraining order which forbids him to maintain some certain meters around the person he has threatened.

Wizkid’s major concern under this circumstance would be the safety and protection of Linda Ikeji against any external aggressor who might want to take advantage of the situation to hurt her, thereby making the pop star a prime suspect with the possibility of serving a jail term for 7 years except all investigations exonerate him.
