Trump to publish weekly list of crimes by Nigerians and other immigrants in America

merican President Donald Trump in fulfillment of his campaign promises has ordered his administration to publish a weekly list of crimes committed by immigrants including Nigeria.

He mandated the Secretary for Homeland Security to “make public a comprehensive list of criminal actions committed by aliens” in the US, reports the Independent.

The order reads:

To better inform the public regarding the public safety threats associated with sanctuary jurisdictions, the Secretary shall utilize the Declined Detainer Outcome Report or its equivalent and, on a weekly basis, make public a comprehensive list of criminal actions committed by aliens and any jurisdiction that ignored or otherwise failed to honor any detainers with respect to such aliens.”

The order is expected to include offences committed by any immigrant living legally or illegally in the US.

Recently, in an executive order titled "Border Security and Immigration Enforcement Improvements", the president signed into law many of the pledges he made during his election campaign which include building a wall along the US-Mexico border, deporting illegal immigrants among others.

According to the order, the measures were needed to “ensure the safety and territorial integrity of the United States” because illegal immigrants “present a significant threat to national security and public safety.”

Trump who has repeatedly promised to deport millions of undocumented migrants from the US said: “We have some bad hombres, and we’re going to get them out.”

Meanwhile Donald Trump’s vow to tighten US borders and deport illegal immigrants had already being enforced as 92 immigrants of African origin were sent packing.

The immigrants were deported on Wednesday, January 25 on the same day the US president signed the executive actions on building the wall along the Mexican border.
