Festive Rush: Ghastly Accident Along Lagos-Ore-Benin Expressway & Ovia River Leaving All Passengers Dead


A fatal road accident has reportedly claimed the lives of many passengers during an accident along the Lagos-Ore-Benin expressway.

Many people lost their lives on Monday after a Truck and commercial bus were involved in a fatal road accident along the Lagos-Ore-Benin expressway.

Eyewitnesses said that the commercial bus hit the truck resulting in the death of all the passengers including a woman and her three children who were travelling.

It was gathered that most of the victims were on their way home for the Christmas. The sad incident caused a huge traffic gridlock in the area as the corpses of the victims were evacuated.

In a similar vein, another auto crash occurred yesterday around Ovie River in Edo State leaving many dead.


A tanker laden with diesel collided with a bus conveying passengers near the river along Benin by-pass.

Images of the accident was shared by an eyewitness who was travelling along that axis at the time of the incident.


There was no immediate emergency response to assist victims, resulting in the death of some of the passengers.

The passenger described the scene as gory, saying it had caused traffic jam along the route.

He said locals had paid more attention to scooping diesel than helping the injured.

The Federal Road Safety Corps have warned drivers to be more careful at this period that the road will be busier than it used to be and the accident again highlights the need for drivers to heed the warning.
