BREAKING: Many feared dead, trapped as tanker explodes in Lagos (Photos & Video)

Many people are belived to have been killed as a fuel tanker exploded on Otedola Bridge, Lagos, Thursday afternoon.


The bridge is located along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. In a footage captured, cars could be seen on fire.


A number of persons are also trapped in their vehicle as the inferno is still raging. More vehicles got burnt with many lives lost.

Channels Television reports that about 50 vehicles or more were confirmed burnt. An eyewitness told Channels that a commercial bus lost control and hit the tanker which was parked by the road side. This resulted into a spark that led to the fire. Men of the Fire Service were seen trying to put out the fire.
