Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, the senior pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, COZA has announced on monday morning that he is stepping down from the pulpit over an alleged rape allegation by Timi Dakolo’s wife, Busola.
He said that he will be taking a leave of absence from the COZA church, pending when the whole rape allegations against him is sorted out.
He shared the press statement on his Instagram page moments ago:
He wrote: “The past few days have been very sobering on me I have taken time to seek spiritual counsel form Christian leaders around the world who feel very concerned about the ongoing report in the media.
“I have solicited their guidance on actions I should take that is honoring to our Lord Jesus Christ and the work he has called me to do.
“Drawing from their counsel and that of the leadership of COZA and owing to my love for Lord’s work and the sacred honor of my calling I have decided to take a leave of absence from the pulpit of the church.”
Earlier today, Presidential candidate, Fela Durotoye advised COZA pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo to step down amidst an allegation of rape leveled against him by singer Timi Dakolo’s wife, Busola Dakolo.
In a post he shared, Fela Durotoye advised Biodun Fatoyinbo to step down as COZA pastor, to clear his name and should only return when he’s exonerated.
