The Sleeping Prince: Meet Saudi Arabian Prince who has been in Coma for 14 years

The picture above is one of the princes of Saudi Arabia named Prince Alwaleed bin Khalid bin Talal, known as (Sleeping Prince), who has been in a coma for 14 years.

The young prince had an accident in 2005 while driving in his car in London. He was just 18 years old then when he had the accident. He had gone to London to study at the military college. The accident knocked him unconscious since then.

He has been in this bed of coma in a specialized hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

In 2015, doctors decided to disconnect the devices/life support machines but his father refused the suggestion in the hope that a miracle would occur and wake up.

Doctors had many diagnoses for his rare case but were unable to bring him back to his normal life.

Sometime in May 2019, an unexpected surprise occurred when the prince moved his head from the right to the left side and back.

Alwaleed’s sister Rima bint Talal shared a video of her brother while moving his head.

This was like a glimmer of hope for the royal family and a sign for the prince’s stable health state.

It’s worth mentioning that the prince is a member of the Saudi royal family born in 1962; he is the full-brother of Prince Al Waleed bin Talal.

His father once said, “Allah who saved his soul for more than a decade now is able to bring him back to life.”

In 2017, his health condition had severely deteriorated but his family kept their son under doctors’ care.

May God restore him back to life.
