Burna Boy Sets Records For Nigerians and Africans

 


Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy has become the first Nigerian act to sell out the 20k capacity Madison Square Garden in New York and the first African act to headline a show there.

The show had legends Busta Rhymes introducing him to the stage & Yousou N'Dour opening for him.

Burna Boy born 2 July 1991 in Port Harcourt Nigeria rose to stardom in 2012 after releasing "Like to Party", the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E. In 2017.

In 2021, Burna Boy won a Grammy Award.
